The personnel resources of SBX combine strong engineering and design experience with proven, hands-on project management and field remediation success. This combination of experience provides results that are both technically sound and cost effective for our clients. Furthermore, SBX’s key personnel have industry-wide name recognition, a proven track record and a longstanding, successful working relationship with environmental managers representing regulatory agencies, utility and manufacturing industries. Moreover, SBX personnel has received awards and recognitions from clients as well as organizations such as the American Society of Civil Engineers. Also, SBX personnel has pioneered remediation technologies such as in-situ stabilization (ISS). In particular, SBX personnel has pioneered the implementation of ISS at former manufactured gas plants (MGP). As a matter of fact, SBX personnel have with one or two exceptions been involved in every ISS MGP performed to date. This involvement includes all phases of the project ranging from design to constructability to pilot scale to full scale implementation.
As a result of developing our client base on a long term relationship basis, SBX key management has a “behind the walls” understanding of the issues that arise during a remediation project. An understanding of the owners’ considerations such as cost impacts, potential liabilities, community relations, as well as a thorough understanding of the risks and liabilities that the engineer and contractor must address are all part of the value engineering that SBX contributes to our client’s projects.
